Chicago Fire Inspectors workplace Conditions

Video:

This video shows the result of extremely poor decision making. Defying all reason, Chicago Fire Inspectors were ordered to pack up and leave a perfectly usable building and relocate into two small rooms in a nearby fire house. The fire house is in a terrible state of repair (as are many). The great irony is that these inspectors are required to go into commercial businesses and write violations that require immediate correction or the City of Chicago will persue legal action to force compliance with the city codes. Yet, the City of Chicago will not repair its own buildings for the same violations its compels others to address. A bit of a double standard. This video also shows the comtempt that many high officials in the Fire Department and City Hall have for the average worker. It is fairly certain that the Mayor and the Fire Commissiioner do not work in offices like these. The next time citizens feel frustrated when dealing with the actions of City of Chicago , hopefully they will realize that many employees of the City feel the same frustrations.
